Command Construction Industries, LLC continues to finish waterline work across the project. Once tie-ins are complete, asphalt crews will mobilize. All catch basins in driveways will be converted to rollovers.

The $4.5M Canal Boulevard Full Depth Reconstruction Project, designed by Integrated Logistical Support, Inc. and awarded to Palmisano Construction, has been delayed due to continued work by Entergy to complete underground utility line relocations. Upon completion, Palmisano crews will commence road reconstruction activities in late July / early August.

The $15M Pontilly Neighborhood Stormwater Network project includes an array of storm water interventions such as bioswales and street basins, all designed to reduce flood risks.  The project is nearly 10 percent complete.   

New Orleans is one of the oldest cities in America with an aging drainage system.  City officials, thought leaders and the community recognize that we will not be able to mitigate flood risks by simply pumping our way out of the problem - new and innovative approaches are needed to better manage stormwater.  Green infrastructure is rethinking how we as a city are ‘Living with Water’. 

The City of New Orleans, Department of Public Works and Sewerage & Water Board began a full reconstruction project on Bourbon Street from St. Louis to Dumaine streets (500-800 blocks) on September 17, 2018. Work is occurring sequentially from the 500 – 800 blocks, with ONLY one block fenced off at a time throughout construction.  All businesses along this corridor are open and accessible throughout construction.  Currently, the contractor is working on sidewalks in the 750 block between Orleans and St. Ann streets, as well as on reconstructing the 800 block roadway between St. Ann and Dumaine streets.
