LINCOLN BEACH REDEVELOPMENT MASTER PLAN Resilience Design Review Committee Meeting
The Lincoln Beach Redevelopment Master Plan was created by a community-led process to reopen Lincoln Beach as a safe, accessible, and welcoming waterfront destination. At the conclusion of the Master Planning process, several elements were identified as the most crucial elements needed to open Lincoln Beach for the public which include but are not limited to the master plan, a portion of the parking lot, the pedestrian bridge, the beach side elevated restaurant with associated relic, the rehabilitated boardwalk relic, waterfront terraces, and a rehabilitated beach.
The City of New Orleans established the Resilience Design Review Committee (RDRC) to help integrate resilience-focused decision-making into all City-led infrastructure projects, as outlined in the Resilient New Orleans plan. The RDRC brings together key City departments to review all construction projects funded under Resilience Programs and/or those that have stormwater management and green infrastructure components. At this meeting, the committee will review the 30% schematic designs for Phase I of the Lincoln Beach redevelopment.
Public comments during the meeting can be submitted in-person via comment cards and online via Zoom Webinar Q&A. There will be 30 minutes of public comment, during which comments will be capped at five (5) minutes per person, with no yielding of time being allowed.
